A renowned youth leader and Secretary General of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, Hon. Nuhu Sani Lere has send a strong signal to all political parties across Nigeria to elect youths into political offices or lose the votes coming from the northern part of the country.
Hon. Lere who is also the Magajin Gari Piriga, made this known yesterday at a One-day Roundtable with youths organisations from across Nigeria held in Abuja.
“We are in consultations and resolved unanimously to vote only parties that elect youths into offices” he declared. Further he said the youths are tired of the old politicians that have brought us to this ugly past. He said the youths are shocked to see parties still fielding old aspirants as party chairmen where we have vibrant youths in the party. “How do you vote people of 70 years and above? Or is it those with EFCC cases, Boko Haram sponsors or anti-social media campaigner?” Nigeria he said, cannot move forward with this same old crooks with same songs.
“We need change, and the change begins now. Any party that failed to elect youths into leadership positions in the party faces the risk of loosing our votes” he concluded.
In the same vein the DG – Institute and for Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa ( IGLSA) Dr. Lanre Adebayo stated that regional collaboration should be a paradigm as 2O23 is all about empowering the youth ,so youth needs to support themselves. He added that youth should be part of a political party as their the digital brain for a way forward.

In furtherance to the course , the aspirant APC North West Zonal youth Leader Jibril Adamu Seze lamented that youth are not being encourage to ask the right question and question those at the helms of affairs because they don’t have the capacity and strong will to do the needful where Nigeria politics is involved. Serious awareness and sensitization need to be done.

While noting and appreciating the work of Kogi state governor on his women and youth appointment in key position of the state, Omuya said that what is ahead of the youth is superior whether good or bad, big or little. A lot need to be done to change those narrative ,if not we will be talking of same issue.
