The All Progressives Congress (APC) Leaders’ Forum in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State has called for unity among party members as they prepare for the gubernatorial election scheduled for 8 August 2026.
This appeal was made in a communiqué by co-conveners Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye and Hon. Tunji Adesokun, on Sunday. The Forum emphasised that a united front would facilitate an easy victory for their candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji.
The communiqué described Oyebamiji as a “loyal, committed, and highly experienced politician,” asserting that his success in the upcoming election relies on unity of purpose among party members. The Forum urged both state and national leaders to work diligently to unify various interests and opinions within the party.
“We are approaching a major election, and we must ensure that we go into the poll as a united and cohesive group,” the communiqué said. It noted that while the choice of Oyebamiji as the flag bearer simplifies their task, avoiding internal sabotage is essential for success.
