A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has announced a Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 11th March 2026.
The notice of the meeting was signed by the BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa and stated that the meeting would be held by 2 pm.
He warned that attendance would be strictly limited to properly notified board members, and non-members are advised to stay away from the venue of the meeting.
Ohuabunwa said the meeting is being convened by the BoT and is recognised by the party’s caretaker leadership.
“This serves to formally invite all members of the Board of Trustees of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2 pm. Venue is 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja.
“Note that this is the only BoT recognised as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,” he said.
He also cautioned members against responding to any other invitations.
“Kindly ignore any other notice purporting to call for a meeting of the BoT,” the notice read.
Truthng reports that the meeting is coming up days after the Appeal Court invalidated the party’s National Convention held in Ibadan on November 15 and 16, 2025.
The appellate court also upheld the suspension of four national officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including the party’s former National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.
