The prosecutor, Charity Nwachukwu, told the court that a complainant, one Mrs Mulika Adekoya, of Metropolis Estate in Karsana, Abuja, reported the matter at the Galadima Police Station on Dec 19, 2025.

According to the prosecutor, the defendants  criminally forged the car documents with the intention to sell off the car without the consent of the owner.

She said that they were caught in the process, adding that they could not give a satisfactory account of their possession of the car, during interrogation by the police.

The prosecution said that all effort to recover the other stolen items have proved abortive.

The offence contravenes the provisions of sections 79, 289, 326 and 354, of the Penal Code.

The Chief Magistrate, Musa Jobbo, granted the defendants bail in the sum of one million naira each, with two sureties each in like sum.

Jobbo ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, and should produce reliable means of identification.

The court adjourned the case until March 25, for hearing.
