Rep. Fidelix Bagudu (APC-Kaduna), has called for unity among his constituents and urged them to support the inclusive governance of Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
Bagudu, who represents Chikun and Kajuruu Federal Constituency made the call while presenting appointment letters to more than 200 legislative aides.
It is an initiative aimed at promoting inclusiveness and strengthening effective representation in the constituency.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas for their support during the by election that produced him as their representative.
The lawmaker stressed the importance of unity, calling on his political opponents to join hands with him in building a stronger and more united Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency.
Bagudu also thanked the newly appointed aides for their support and prayers, assuring them of his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Speaking at the event, Bagudu’s Senior Legislative Aide, Markus Yari, said the support of Gov. Uba Sani was instrumental to Bagudu’s electoral success.
According to him, Bagudu is determined to work closely with the governor to ensure quality representation and accelerated development for the constituency.
Bagudu said he would continue to play a key role in strengthening the party’s presence and influence in Kaduna State politics.
Also speaking, a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Kajuru Constituency, Usman Stingo, said Bagudu would face challenges in his new role, including pressures from various interest groups.
Stingo, however, expressed confidence that with the support of Sani, Bagudu was well-positioned to overcome the challenges and provide effective representation to his constituents.
Bagudu said his call for unity was timely, considering the challenges confronting the constituency, such as poverty, insecurity and inadequate infrastructure.
He pledged to work diligently to address the challenges and fulfil his campaign promises to the people.
The appointees were also presented with palliatives to support them during the Yuletide season and were encouraged to embrace the ideals of progressivism to continue benefiting from the policies and programmes of Sani’s administration.
