The Governing Council of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially approved the appointment of Professor Offiong Effanga Offiong as the new Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Professor Offiong, a distinguished scholar and administrator, previously served as the Commissioner for Education in Cross River State and was also the former Dean of the Faculty of Science at the university.
