The Coordinator of a political group of the All Progressive Congress (APC), under the agies of ‘Carry Go Borno State Project’ (CGBP) Mr. Ijudigal Fali has threw his weight behind the tweet made by the United States Of American President, Mr. Donald Trump threatening to take decisive action against terrorists and the alleged Christian Genocide in some parts of Nigeria.
Trump had earlier declared Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern (CPC).
Fali said, it has became imperative for him to speak out, as victim, having lost his father and other members of his family in the hands of Boko Haram terrorists at Multafu community of Askira- Uba local government area of Borno state some years ago.
Multafu is a Christian dominated community which has suffered series of deadly attacks and destruction by insurgents during the peak of the crisis.
In a press statement, a copy which was made available to newsmen in Maiduguri on Thursday, Fali who has since relocated out of his ancestral home- state with his wife and children, lamented that, even after his displacement, and later settled in Kaduna state with his family, he has no access to visit Multafu in the past 15 years due to its inaccessibilty, as the place remained unsafe and deserted.
His words; “I write as a victim of the religious genocide that is gradually eating up our dear country under the disguise of either Banditary, Boko Haram and ISWAP.
“For more than 15 years now, no one from Multafu community in Askira Uba Local Govt of Borno State can have access to our ancestral home”. Fali alleged.
He revealed that he lost his father, mother, brother and some sisters in the hands of Boko Haram terrorists in the past.
“My grand father, Mr Ajigu Fali, his wife, Mrs Ahubadari Fali, My father Capt. Joshua Tuliam Fali, My Mother, Mrs Grace Fali, My Uncle Mr Indagawa Fali, were taken away from us by this wicked terrorists who burnt down all our houses and properties in Multafu,
“We have organised peaceful protests in the past, we cried out to national and international communities and organisations to come to our rescue, but all our efforts proved abortive.
Most of our people are now scattered in either Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps or relocated to other cities and villages with nothing to show for it.
‘I relocated my family from Borno State to Kaduna to start life afresh, which am still left with the trauma of the killings of my parents in my very eyes while I watch them either killed, or burnt alive with our homes set ablaze.
“When I relocated to Kaduna, I kept on writing on National dailies to let the World know what I passed through, not knowing that I was putting my life, that of my Wife and children at risk.
“One fateful night, we were attacked by unknown gunmen in our little place that we struggled to get in Kaduna, the gunmen broke into our compound at about 12am midnight, but we thank God for sparing our lives.
“Therefore, I was one of the first who jumped up to rejoice when the President of the United States Of America declared Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC)”. Fali concluded. End
