No less than one hundred women and youths have benefitted from the latest empowerment project of the Member Representing Okene-Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa who gave farm seeds worth millions of naira and the sum of N20,000 each to the beneficiaries, yesterday.

Presenting the seeds at the Ebira Muslim Community College, Okengwe, Damisa called on private sector influencers, NGOs and other well meaning individuals to key into the poverty eradication programme of the present government at the federal level by empowering Nigerians, especially the youths.

Damisa, who assured that he will continue to give hope to the hopeless, strength to the weak while protecting the defenseless, said he will develop the economy of his federal constituency through creating jobs, securing appointments, constructing rural roads and sinking boreholes.

He also said he would work to create enduring happiness for the people, adding that those entrusted with leadership must show patriotism, passion, vision and sacrifice for the transformation of the lives of those who voted them into office.

Damisa said: “The presentation of farm seeds today is also my humble way of campaigning against poverty, increasing empowerment, reducing poverty and improving the standard of living of our people, curbing youth restiveness, because an idle youth is the devil’s workshop.”

“We want to return the culture of hard work and dedication among our youths,” he added.

Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa commended Hajia Aisha Ismail Ishaq, provost FCC, Kaduna, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Federal cooperative college Kaduna for collaborating with Amrah Farm Nigeria Limited through his domestic personal assistant in person of Hon. Adams Ibrahim Kadoka.
