The Federal Government has intensified efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country, unveiling the maiden Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026 as a strategic platform to showcase bankable projects and deepen partnerships across key sectors of the economy.
The two-day expo, scheduled for November 19-20, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, is expected to bring together global investors, policymakers, development finance institutions, project developers, technology firms and business leaders to explore investment opportunities in mining, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil and gas, trade and other productive sectors.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Dele Alake, said the Federal Government was committed to creating a competitive and investment-friendly environment capable of attracting quality investments and accelerating economic diversification.
Alake, who is the patron of the inaugural expo, described the event as a strategic platform for connecting credible investment opportunities with global capital while strengthening collaboration between government, the private sector and development partners.
“The Expo is a strategic platform for showcasing Nigeria’s vast investment opportunities, connecting credible projects with investors, and strengthening collaboration between government, the private sector and development partners,” the minister said.
According to a statement by the head of press and public relations department, Kankia Maliki Andeyaba, Alake noted that the initiative aligns with the Tinubu administration’s economic diversification agenda by promoting investments across strategic sectors, particularly mining, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil and gas and trade.
According to him, the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development remains committed to repositioning the mining sector through value addition, responsible mining practices, modern technology, transparent regulation and strategic partnerships that would create jobs and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
Alake added that the expo would provide investors with direct access to information on government policies, priority projects and investment opportunities, while creating a platform to address issues relating to financing, licensing, infrastructure, technology and market access.
He also urged the media to provide objective and balanced coverage that promotes credible investment opportunities and supports Nigeria’s economic transformation.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr Faruk Yusuf Yabo, described the Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo as an important platform for fostering collaboration among government institutions, investors, businesses and development partners.
