Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has explained the rationale behind his decision to re-open the shut Shasha market in Ibadan, the state capital.
It could be recalled that the market was shut down penultimate Saturday as a result of the crisis that enveloped it.
Our correspondent learned that the crisis started in the market as a result of the death of a cobbler, Mr. Sakirudeen Adeola.
Makinde in a bid to forestall further breakdown of law and order ordered the closure of the market a day after fights broke out between Hausas and Yorubas.
