Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau on Monday promised to deliver more infrastructure in the state.
Mufwang made the promise shortly after he inaugurated the construction of two major roads in Bassa and Jos North Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
Truthng reports that the governor inaugurated a 39.3 Jebbu-Minago and two kilometers roads in Bassa and Jos north LGAs.
The governor, who insisted that his administration would complete all abandoned projects and initiate new ones, promised to make Plateau better.
Mutfwang, who reiterated his commitment to meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Plateau, maintained that politics is about development.
“I have said it often times that I’m not a normal politician.
“I’m only in politics to serve the people, and therefore, it is my singular determination that I will definitely leave Plateau better than I met it.
That is why, for me, development is not about politics but meeting the aspirations of the people,”he said
The governor promised to take advantage of his recent defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to attract more development to the state.
He, however, called on residents of the state to pray and support his administration to succeed.
Earlier, Mr Joshua Ubandoma, the Commissioner for Works in the state, noted that the Mutfwang’s administration is committed to the development of the state.
“It would interest the general public to note that this administration inherited 45 inactive road projects totaling over 1, 261 kilometers.
“However, about 30 per cent out of the projects have been completed” he said
Some notable members of the two communities thanked and commended the governor for the projects.
