The Gwaram Abuja Residents’ Association at the weekend commended Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi for appointing Dr. Saifullahi Umar as the pioneer Director General of the Jigawa State Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA).
In a statement by the Chairman of the Gwaram Abuja Residents’ Association, Comrade Hamza Muhammad, the group described Umar’s appointment as a strategic one that underscores the governor’s commitment to agricultural development in Jigawa State.
It said Dr. Umar’s impressive background, expertise in agricultural economics, and leadership skills make him an ideal candidate for the role.
“His extensive experience in academia, research, and administration, as well as his successful track record of collaborations with national and international organisations, will undoubtedly drive transformative change in Jigawa’s agricultural sector,” it said.
The group also congratulated Dr. Umar on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
“We look forward to the positive impact of JATA under his leadership,” it added.
