KGIRS refutes malicious allegation

Says Service now professionalised

Says confirmation of staff in progress

 

The management of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) has refuted a media report that alleging that refusal of Management to confirm all Revenue Officers engaged by the organization stating that the allegation is “malicious and vindictive,” and described as ill informed those responsible for the allegation.

A statement made available to our correspondent by the Service stressed that the organisations has been recently professionalised.

Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) as presently constituted is a highly professional, motivated and well informed organisation structured to deliver an effective tax administration for the good people of Kogi State,” the statement said.

It unequivocally denies this ill-informed news in its entirety as false, malicious and distractive. “The service like no other, places high premium on the welfare and interest of all her personnel regardless of their cadre, without exception of revenue officers,” the statement said.

The process of staff confirmation in any organisation is an on-going process, which KGIRS has commenced for all cadres of her employee via performance appraisal system.”

Discussing the peace and harmony in the organisation, the management said: “The KGIRS is a family and the divisive activity of those few who do not approve of our successes will not in any way distract the pace setting and trail blazing effort and sacrifice of the entire staff of the service under the exemplary, success driven leadership of the Executive Chairman of the service Alh. Yakubu Oseni.”

We are on course to continue to deliver on the mandate given to the service by the executive governor of the state, Alh. Yahaya Bello.”
