The brilliance of Africa’s mineral wealth will take centre stage later this month as industry leaders, investors, and innovators gather in Lagos for the Gold and Gemstone Conference and Exhibition 2025.
The event is scheduled to hold from November 26 to 28 at the Grand Ballroom, Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki from 9am to 5pm
With the theme, “Accelerating Collaboration for Sustainable Gold and Gemstone Development in Africa,” the event aims to foster partnerships and drive the continent’s mineral and jewelry industries toward a sustainable and prosperous future.
Speaking ahead of the event, the organizers described the conference as “a landmark gathering designed to showcase Africa’s vast potential in gold and gemstones while promoting responsible mining, ethical sourcing, and value addition across the value chain.”
“Africa is rich not just in minerals, but in talent and innovation,” said a spokesperson for the organizing committee.
“This conference is about collaboration — bringing together everyone from miners to designers, policymakers to investors, to create a sustainable ecosystem for the gold and gemstone industry.”
The three-day event will feature masterclasses, exhibitions, conferences, B2B networking sessions, an awards dinner, and a Jewelry and Fashion Fusion Runway Show.
Attendees will also have opportunities to explore emerging trends, discover cutting-edge innovations, and experience the transformation of raw stones into exquisite jewelry masterpieces.
“We’re particularly excited about the fusion of fashion and gemstones at this year’s show,” the spokesperson added. “It reflects how African creativity can turn natural resources into global luxury.”
Organizers say the conference will attract participants from across Africa and beyond, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), jewelry brands, mining companies, government representatives, and sustainability advocates.
