Mega Rally offshoot: Ajanah tasks Kogites on relentless support for GYB

Hon Kabir Ajanah

The member representing Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Mohammed Kabir Ajanah has called on the people of Kogi State to continue to show their support for the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, adding that the success of the Kogi APC Mega Rally would strengthen the resolve of Kogites to ensure continuity of the Yahaya Bello administration.

Honourable Ajanah who made the call during an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Lokoja, on Sunday, described the rally as an indication of the success of the Yahaya Bello administration in the state. He said the ability of Gov Yahaya Bello to galvanize the party by providing purposeful leadership has made the state more secure and attractive for investment, adding that the resounding success of the Kogi State Economic and Investment Summit will be transformed into tangible deliverables that will immensely boost the economy.

While thanking the Buhari administration for the support it has given to the state, evidenced by the presence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Summit, the lawmaker assured that the support of the populace for governour Yahaya Bello will boost the confidence already reposed in the state government by the Federal Government under the Muhamadu Buhari administration, whom he noted has designated Kogi as the anchor for his policy diversification of the economy through agriculture and solid mineral development.

Further justifying his call for support, Ajanah, who is also Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Ports, Harbour and Waterways said: “There are many reasons why I am calling on all Kogites to turn out enmass to support the Yahaya Bello administration. The Government of Kogi state under Yahaya Bello has shown commitment to the revitalization of Akaokuta Steel Complex, a project which can crate over two million jobs when created.”

“One of the most outstanding achievements of the administration is in the area of security; the Yahaya Bello administration has been able to change the face of the state by deploying strategies that have led to the end of insecurity in the state. Kidnapping and armed robbery are fast coming to an end. The people of the state have suffered so much from the challenge of insecurity. The administration therefore should not merely be commended, but should be given the opportunity to complete its various laudable initiatives some of which are in progress.”

“There is a wave of youth and women empowerments across Kogi State which has now changed the narrative of political power in the state.”

“It is therefore reasonable that an administration that has done so much should be allowed to continue and complete the good works it has started,” he added.
