Marwa Warns Drug Traffickers
Reacting to the operations, NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), commended officers across the affected commands for their efforts.
Marwa said the arrest of the two Europe-based suspects demonstrated that living abroad would not shield individuals involved in drug trafficking from prosecution.
He warned that NDLEA personnel at Nigeria’s airports and border crossings remained vigilant against attempts to transport illicit substances.
The agency also continued its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) awareness campaigns in schools and communities across Lagos, Enugu, Kano and Ogun states.
Marwa urged officers nationwide to sustain operations against drug trafficking networks while strengthening public education and drug abuse prevention initiatives.
