
“Fortitude”. a Nollywood drama that advocates talent discovery and development among young people, is set to premiere on YouTube on May 23, its producers have said.
Ace filmmaker and director of the movie, Isaac John, stated this in an interview on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, the highly anticipated drama, produced by Creative Path Productions, is shot in locations around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
John said the plot of “Fortitude” follows the tale of Anabel, a young talented lady, who risks everything to save her mother who was battling with stage-three cancer.
According to him, Anabel had to compete in a movie competition in order to raise funds to save her ailing mother, and the intrigues that followed is what makes “Fortitude” a must-watch.
“The message in the movie is to encourage young people not to give up on their talent and dreams, because Anabel was able to raise money through her gift and determination to help her mother.
“Although she later lost her mum, through the competition she won a good amount of money and was able to build a good life for herself and her siblings.
The director said the film will be released on the official YouTube platform of Creative Path Productions.
“Fortitude” features an array of seasoned and up-and-coming stars, including Raphael Gabriel, Alex Okpe, Solomon Danjuma and Mercy Attah.
Others include Peter Idachaba, Vincent Jeremiah, Elizabeth Emmanuel, David Godwin and Temitope Favour, who played Anabel, amongst others.
