Ogun State Police Command has urged residents to promptly report security threats and distress situations through its 24-hour toll-free emergency line, as part of efforts to strengthen security and community policing across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, made the call on Thursday during the commissioning of the Ota District Police Headquarters in Ota.
Ojajuni, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Mrs Bolanle Mustapha, said residents could access the command’s Gateway Shield emergency line, 08100009111, free of charge at any time.
“We want to implore members of the public to make use of the police control room to report any incident in times of distress or whenever the attention of the police is needed,” he said.
The police commissioner directed Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to display the emergency number prominently at police stations to improve public access to security agencies.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to national development and praised Gov. Dapo Abiodun for sustaining a peaceful and investment-friendly environment in Ogun State.
