PHOTONEWS: NGSA Trains Staff on JORC-Compliant Reporting, Int’l Standards, Codes

The Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) on Friday, intensified the training of staff on ‘Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) and other International Reporting Standards and Codes.’

Director-General of the Agency, Dr. Abdulrazaq Garba said the training demonstrates commitment of the agency to global best practices in geological survey, mineral exploration and reporting of mineral occurrences, stating that the Agency will continue to play its statutory role of providing reliable information on mineralogy of Nigeria.

Dr Garba, who is the Chairman, National Integrated Mineral Exploration Project, NIMEP, commended the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc Olamilekan Adegbite and Minister of State, Arc Unchechukuw Ogah for providing needed support for the agency.
