A broadcast journalist with Radio France International (RFI) Hausa Service, Malam Tasiu Zakari, is dead. Zakari’s death was Tuesday morning announced by the family.
The second son of late Tasiu Zakari, Zaharadeen Tasiu Zakari, confirmed the death, saying his father died at Sauki Hospital after a brief illness.
Late Tasiu was laid to rest at Zakalio Muslim Cemetery, along Jos-Bauchi road, after the funeral prayer.
Zaharadeen said his father left behind two wives, six children, out of which three are male, while three others are female.
“He left behind six of us as his children, my elder sister, myself, two other males and two other females.
“He also left behind our mother and his recently married wife,” Zaharadeen said.
