Segun Lawson’s parents visit Segilola Gold project

Young and courageous Nigerian mining sector investor, Segun Lawson took to Twitter on Friday to share his joy while celebrating a visit of his parents to his gold mine – the Segilola Gold Project.

In the tweet, Lawson said his parents are his “biggest believers and supporters.”

The Segilola Gold Project is Nigeria’s most advanced gold project with an indicated resource of 608,000 ounces grading at 4.7g/t, an inferred resource of 68,000 ounces grading at 4.8g/t and a probable reserve of 518,000 ounces grading at 4.02 g/t. It is one of the highest-grade open pit gold projects in West Africa.

Lawson, who posted a photograph of his merry parents lifting up gold bars from their sons project, said: “My parents came to visit the Segilola Mine this week,” adding that “they’ve had a front row seat to the blood sweat and tears over the last ten years and have been my biggest believers and supporters… in this period and every day of my life!”

Segilola resourcing Operating Limited (SROL) is a company, domiciled in Nigeria. It operates the Segilola Gold Project, located in Osun State Nigeria. SROL is a subsidiary of Thor Explorations Ltd.(Thor), a West African focused gold exploration and development company listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange.
