Senator Natasha launches ₦24m scholarship scheme for Kogi Central

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, through her initiative, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Foundation (NAUF) has launched scholarship programme, to mitigate the suffering faced by indigent students in Kogi Central.

In a statement she signed on Monday, the Senator said the sum of two million Naira will be disbursed on monthly basis per annum, accounting for the disbursement of the ₦24 million Educational Intervention Fund annually, adding that the beneficiaries will be published for purpose of accountability.

“Applicants are advised to submit an application letters to any of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s constituency offices in their respective Local Government Areas,” the statement said, adding that every applicants should attach a photocopy of certificate of origin, admission letter, school identity card and proof or request claim, to the designated emails.

Discussing eligibility, the senator said: “Beneficiaries must be students of public tertiary institutions in Nigeria who must be of Kogi Central origin or a resident for not less than 10 years, and must have been verified by the NAUF EDUIFUND Team to be poor and vulnerable.”

Prospective beneficiaries must submit an application either via email to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s constituency office in his or her Local Government Area, and must not be a previous beneficiary from the NAUF EDUIFUND in the same calendar year for which he or she is applying.
