2027: ADC Holds National Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is set to hold its National Convention as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The is contained in a statement signed by the acting Chairman of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party in Abuja.

According to the statement, the convention is expected to attract party stakeholders, delegates, state executives, youth leaders, women groups, and political observers from across the country.

The statement assured that the convention will serve as a strategic platform to strengthen the internal democratic structures of the party, review its political direction, and consolidate preparations for the 2027 electoral process.

It noted that the convention will feature the inauguration and ratification of members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), deliberations on the conduct of party primaries, expansion of party structures nationwide, and consultations on strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation.

The convention will also provide an avenue for discussions on national development, youth participation, women inclusion, party reform, and the role of the ADC in deepening democratic governance in the country.

According to the statement, the gathering represents a significant step towards building a stronger and more united political platform capable of providing credible leadership and alternative governance for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.

The party invited members of the public, party faithful, civil society organisations, and members of the media to attend the convention.
