2027: Kogi Deputy Gov. mobilises Ofu for APC, seeks massive votes

The Deputy Governor of Kogi, Mr Joel Salifu, has urged residents of Ofu Local Government Area to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Salifu made the call on Tuesday at an APC mobilisation meeting in Itobe, where he urged the people to demonstrate their support for the party through massive votes.

He highlighted development projects executed by the state government in Ofu, including renovation of schools, provision of primary healthcare facilities, security interventions and solar power projects in Agojeju and Obagu.

The deputy governor said the government planned to extend the solar power project to Ejule, Ugwolawo and Itobe.

He also promised to present other needs identified by the community to Gov. Ahmed Ododo for consideration.

Salifu urged the people of Itobe to increase their support for the APC, saying the large turnout at the meeting demonstrated the community’s capacity to deliver substantial votes for the party.

He appealed to the people to support President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, including Joseph Erico, Victor Uchola, Mohammed Musa and Isah Emeje.

The deputy governor urged people of Kogi East and Igala land to remain aligned with the APC, saying continued support for the party would attract more development to the district.

Salifu expressed confidence that Ofu would deliver massive votes for the APC, while cautioning the electorate against politicians who returned to the grassroots only during election periods.

Other speakers, including Mr. Shehu Seidu, Mr Mohammed Musa, Mr Ndamodu Alih, Mr Muhammed Uloko and Mrs. Laruba Ukwenya, called for increased mobilization for the APC.

They also highlighted some development needs of the Itobe community and urged residents to support the party and its candidates.

The APC candidate for Idah Federal Constituency, Mr Victor Uchola, assured the people of effective representation if elected.

Uchola also urged APC supporters to intensify mobilization across polling units ahead of the elections.
