Academic, Lukman Saki commends Gov Ododo’s giant stride in education

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been commended by an education expert, Lukman Saki.

Saki who is a lecturer in the Federal College of Education, Okene commended the steps taken so far by the administration of Governor Ahmed Ododo to revive the basic and secondary education in the state.

According to him, apart from the regular payment of salaries of teachers that have put teachers in the minimum wage, which has increased the morale of teachers, the Ododo administration has triggered increased in the number of children enrolled into schools. This he said was achieved by improvement in the quality of teaching from the happy teachers.

He noted other efforts put in place by the administration to address various challenges hindering the progress of education such as the renovation of schools and provision of writing materials for students and pupils through the State Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB).

These, he said have been commended by various stakeholders in education sector in the state.

He noted that the quality of appointments made by the governor in the education sector are highly commendable.

“From the Honourable Commissioner for education, Chairman, SUBEB to the Special Assistant to the Governor on education are top notch people in policy making,” he stated.

Saki appealed to Governor Ododo to further support the growth of the education foundation, stating that the foundation was founded by an individual to help indigent children to get quality education.

He noted how indigent pupils have been removed from the street of their host community and it’s environ for studies.

He said, at their own level as an academic, they will do everything possible to support his government to succeed.
