The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Waliyu Ismail, says the party has commenced door-to-door mobilisation.
Ismail disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.
He said the exercise was aimed at strengthening the party’s support base and sensitising residents to achievements of the Tinubu administration.
According to him, grassroots mobilisation will enable APC leaders to engage residents directly, explain government policies and programmes, and canvass support.
“We have taken the campaign to the grassroots because the people remain the foundation of every successful election,” Ismail said.
He said the campaign would enable party leaders to listen to residents’ concerns while highlighting what he described as developmental strides.
“We want to interact directly with our people, listen to their concerns and remind them of the developmental strides of the APC-led government,” he said.
Ismail said the exercise would cover communities and wards across Eredo LCDA, ensuring eligible voters remained informed about the party’s programmes.
“Our objective is to ensure that we reach the people at the grassroots.
“We are going from house to house and community to community because direct engagement remains an effective way of mobilising support,” Ismail said.
He expressed confidence that the Tinubu administration’s achievements, particularly infrastructure development and economic reforms, would strengthen APC’s 2027 campaign.
“We are confident that the achievements of President Tinubu will speak for him.
“Our responsibility is to sensitise the people and ensure that they understand the policies and programmes designed to move Nigeria forward,” he said.
Ismail urged APC members to remain united and committed, saying collective efforts would be necessary to sustain the party’s dominance.
“We must remain united, focused and committed to our party.
“With unity and effective grassroots mobilisation, I am confident that APC will continue to enjoy the confidence and support of the people,” he said.
