The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi State Chapter, has congratulated Mr. Oladele John Nihi on his recent appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State.
In a “heartfelt letter of congratulations” addressed to the Mr. Oladele Nihi, signed by the Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of the Association, Dr. Adebayo Emmanuel Olaniyan, the Christian body attributed Nihi’s elevation to his sterling qualities of ‘dedication, diligence, and outstanding service to the State.’
According to the association, Mr. Nihi’s “longstanding commitment to public service and innovative approach will greatly benefit our beloved state,” and assured the new Chief Press Secretary of their continual prayers and backing for his success in his new position.
The association expressed faith in Nihi’s expertise and dedication to excellence, viewing him as the perfect candidate for the role.
In response, Nihi expressed profound gratitude and pledged utmost dedication to serving the State with diligence and integrity in his role as Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Nihi also stressed the significance of a harmonious relationship between the government and the association, recognizing the necessity of their prayers for the prosperity and advancement of the State under Governor Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman’s leadership.
In a related development, a former Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Matters, Comr. Jude Imagwe has extended his goodwill and felicitations to Mr. Oladele Nihi, saying that the appointment is not a surprise.
Imagwe, who was National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) from 2009 to 2011, stated: ‘Your appointment comes as no surprise to me, given your dedication and commitment to every task, or role you have ever been assigned. As a result, I am confident that you will perform admirably in your new role.”
The former presidential aide commended Governor Ododo for the foresight and diligence exercised in the confidence bestowed on Nihi by appointing his as Chief Press Secretary, saying: “Let me also take this opportunity to thank His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State for selecting one of us as a worthy vessel for the discharge of the role of trust and confidence, as well as the gatekeeper of the image of the new government and people of Kogi State.”
