Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo Consoles Vice President Kashim Shettima Over Stepmother’s Death 

 

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has condoled with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the death of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Abba Kormi whose sad event occurred on Thursday February 2, 2024.

In a letter of condolence to Vice President Shettima personally signed by Governor Ododo, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Oladele John Nihi, the Governor stated: “On behalf of myself and the good people of Kogi State, I wish to express my heartfelt condolence on the death of your stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi who passed on to glory in the early hours of today.”

“We received the news with sadness and pains. However, as they say, ‘the one who is adored the most by God, is the one who achieves eternal life,’ we will miss her.”

“For the family she left behind, be strong and may the Lord give you the strength to sail through these tough moments of life.

“We pray for the soul of the departed to rest in peace, and may Allah (SWT) grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“Once again, please accept the deepest sympathies and solidarity, both of myself and of the good people of Kogi State.”
