The Annual Otivism Lecture Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the inaugural lecture series in celebration of Dr. Otive Igbuzor’s 61st birthday, taking place on September 5, 2024, in Abuja. The event will be a hybrid gathering, allowing both in-person and virtual participation.
The lecture series, themed Otivism, is inspired by the book Otivism: The Ideas and Philosophical Reflections of Dr. Otive Igbuzor, authored by Dr. Iroro Stephen Izu. Each year, the lecture will explore a chapter of the book, with this year’s focus on Otivism and Ideology: Addressing Contemporary Challenges in Nigeria. The keynote lecture will be delivered by the author, Dr. Iroro Stephen Izu.
The event will be chaired by Comrade Hauwa Mustapha and will feature lectures, panel discussions, and other engaging activities.
Dr. Otive Igbuzor is renowned for his strategic leadership, development efforts, and contributions to the growth of the African continent.
In a statement released by Vincent Dania, on behalf of the organizing committee, the public is encouraged to share their stories, memories, video clips, and special photos of Dr. Igbuzor on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms using the hashtag #Otivism
