The Director of the JAMB Training School (JTS), Kaduna, Mr. Olukayode Dada, has described Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative administrative tool capable of enhancing productivity, innovation and service delivery. Dada made the assertion on Wednesday, 12th August, 2026, during an interactive session with members of staff of the Training School, where he spoke on the application of emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, to problem-solving and administrative efficiency.
According to him, AI is a technology capable of performing tasks that ordinarily require human intelligence. He noted that the technology is transforming the way governments and organisations deliver services and make informed decisions by reducing routine workloads and enabling administrators to concentrate on strategic planning, people management and problem-solving.
He further explained that AI saves time by providing data-driven insights to support administrative decision-making, compare alternatives, evaluate benefits and risks, predict likely outcomes, and identify potential challenges requiring attention. He, however, cautioned that AI should be regarded as a tool that complements human capability rather than a replacement for human judgement.
The Director identified widelyused AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Grammarly and Zoom AI Companion, among others, as practical tools that could significantly improve administrative performance and workplace efficiency.
A major highlight of the session was the demonstration of an AIdriven workflow, which outlined the process of defining tasks clearly, providing relevant and nonsensitive information, requesting the AI tool to draft, analyse or organise content, verifying facts and figures, reviewing policy requirements, applying professional judgement, and finally approving, documenting and communicating the outcome. Dada also stressed the importance of safeguarding sensitive information, validating AIgenerated content and ensuring sustained human oversight in critical administrative decisions. He encouraged staff to develop practical AI competences and embrace the technology responsibly, noting that its effective application would strengthen productivity, communication and overall service delivery.
In their separate remarks, participants commended the management for organising the session, describing it as timely and enlightening. They noted that the presentation had deepened their understanding of Artificial Intelligence and provided practical insights into its responsible application in the discharge of their official responsibilities.
