Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Mike Edwards has won his debut professional boxing match.
Gatekeepers News reports that Mike defeated his opponent, John Cornish in Misfits Boxing Cruiserweight division held at Dublin Arena on Saturday.
The boxing bout was organised by Nigerian-born professional boxer, Olajide Williams.
The reality Television star won the match through a unanimous decision from the judges.
His win was described as “impressive” by Misfits Boxing in a post on their social media accounts.
Misfits Boxing posted, “An impressive MFB debut for #aireyys as he gets the decision victory. Mike Edwards gets his first #MisfitsBoxing win.”
Edward, known as a high jump champion took to social media to announce he had ventured into professional boxing in April.
He wrote, “Breaking News: Excited to announce my entry into the world of professional boxing! Thrilled to join the Cruiserweight division roster on #MisfitsBoxing.”
“Get ready for an electrifying debut as I step into the ring to showcase my skills and determination.”
