The federal government has declared free education for technical school students.
Students in both federal and state technical colleges are beneficiaries of free education under the programme.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made the announcement during the launch of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme in Abuja, on Friday.
According to him, the package included free tuition, accommodation, feeding, and a monthly stipend of N22,500 for each student.
Alausa explained that the initiative was aimed at attracting more young people to TVET and encouraging them to acquire relevant skills that would make them productive members of society.
