
The federal government, state governments and local government councils have shared a total of N1.928 trillion as Federation Account revenue for November 2025.
According to a statement issued on Monday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the revenue distribution was carried out at the December 2025 meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) held in Abuja.
The statement explained that the total distributable revenue comprised N1.403 trillion from statutory revenue, N485.838 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT) and N39.646 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
A communiqué issued after the FAAC meeting disclosed that gross revenue of N2.343 trillion was available in November 2025. From this amount, N84.251 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while N330.625 billion was allocated to transfers, interventions, refunds and savings.
According to the communiqué, gross statutory revenue for November stood at N1.736 trillion, representing a decrease of N427.969 billion compared to the N2.164 trillion recorded in October 2025. Similarly, gross VAT revenue declined to N563.042 billion, down by N156.785 billion from N719.827 billion recorded in the previous month.
From the N1.928 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N747.159 billion, while state governments received N601.731 billion. The local government councils received N445.266 billion, and N134.355 billion, representing 13 per cent derivation revenue, was shared among the benefiting states.
A further breakdown showed that from the N1.403 trillion statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N668.336 billion, states received N338.989 billion, and local government councils received N261.346 billion, in addition to the N134.355 billion paid to oil-producing states as derivation.
From the N485.838 billion VAT revenue, the Federal Government received N72.876 billion, states N242.919 billion, and local government councils N170.043 billion.
The N39.646 billion EMTL revenue was shared with the Federal Government receiving N5.947 billion, states N19.823 billion, and local government councils N13.876 billion.
FAAC noted that while Excise Duty recorded a moderate increase in November 2025, revenues from Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Hydrocarbon Tax (HT), Companies Income Tax (CIT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Stamp Duties (SDT), Oil and Gas Royalties, Import Duty, CET Levies, VAT, EMTL and Fees witnessed substantial declines during the period.
