Francis James of Plateau on Saturday in Abeokuta won the men’s event of the Lotus Bank/Abeokuta 10-kilometre Race, breasting the tape after 30 minutes and 11 seconds.
Gyang Raymond came second after running in three seconds later for a time of 30:14 minutes, while Gyang David Boyi came third in 30:54 seconds.
Ismeal Sadjo was fourth also in 30:54 minutes, while Adamu Shehu was fifth in 31:11.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the women’s event was won by Blessing Shambas in a time of 35:58, with Patience Daylop in second place with 36:51.
Charity Agofure was third, Abiye David fourth and Esther Afigbo fifth.(NAN)
