A non-governmental organization and socio-cultural organisation, Ohiku Youth Development Foundation (OYDF), has hailed the electoral success of Kogi state governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
In a congratulatory message, signed by Jimoh Abdulwahab Adinoyi and Aliyu Adoanyi Ogirima for chairman and secretary respectively, the group said the goodwill and tenacity of Ododo endeared him to Kogites who gave him overwhelming support.
“The above-named organisation wishes to congratulate you on your victory in the just concluded Kogi state gubernatorial election under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
“We keenly followed your campaign in the three senatorial districts of the state. The people of the state came out en masse irrespective of their differences and voted you overwhelmingly. This demonstrated the love and unity across the state.
“Your slogan of continuing the good work of your predecessor encapsulates the yearning of the people and you hit the ground running as you take this daunting task.
“The responsibility ahead is enormous and we expect that you will hit the ground running as you take on this daunting task. The responsibility is enormous but the fact that you have goodwill from across the board makes the work a bit easier and we hope you will use this goodwill to make Kogites proud of you.
“The best way to thank Kogites is to give the job your best shot and delivering on your campaign promises,” the statement read.
