An Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, Zamfara State command, Mr. Emmanuel Adeniyi has been allegedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Mr. Adeniyi was said to have been kidnapped while driving along Dandume/Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna state on his way to Zamfara state capital Gusau.
Confirming the incidence, the Zamfara state commissioner of police Mr. Shaba Alkali who talked to the press on phone said though the incident happened within Kaduna area, he was still waiting authentic details concerning the issue.
It be could be recalled that some weeks back, gunmen attacked a Police Station at Keta in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state, kidnapping three officers.
