KOGI: SSA on Solid Minerals Development, Engr Ahovi Yusuf, 43 others, commend Gov Yahaya Bello

Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf, Senior Special Assistant on Solid Minerals Development to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello has commended the administration for efforts it is making to develop the mineral resources in the state, adding that the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello to economic development of the state through solid minerals exploitation is not in doubt.

Engr Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of forty three other appointees, thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for appointing the team members into various positions in the state, adding that they will justify the confidence reposed in them by the government and people of the state.

He said, “His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello identified some potential in us and we will definitely not betray the confidence and opportunity he has given to us to serve in his administration.”

Engr Ahovi Yusuf, a mining sector expert who served at the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development before establishing his consultancy firm – MA Yusuf Associate Limited, comes with a wide range of experience in the solid minerals industry. He promised to deploy his experience to advance the goals set for the state by the Governor Yahaya Bello-led government of Kogi State.

He promised to use his wealth of experiences to create jobs in solid mineral sector, adding that since job creation and revenue enhancement is a mantra of the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, he will work with stakeholders to facilitate the realization of set goals.

According to him, “Kogi state is endowed with various kinds of Mineral Resources which if harnessed, will boost the revenue base of the state thereby providing funds to meet various projects in other sectors.”

He commended the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Mohammed Jamiu Asuku and the Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Engr Kabiru Abubakar Gegu for their support.

The Government of Kogi State, through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, announced the appointment of 44 Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on various designations last week.
