The Kwara State Government on Monday organised a nine-day Integrated Training Programme for 55 newly recruited health workers in Omuaran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara.

Prof. Nusirat Elelu, Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, described the programme as a capacity-building initiative, aimed at improving quality healthcare across the state’s primary health facilities.

“The state government will continue to invest in the training and equipping of health workers to ensure that residents of Kwara have access to free and quality health care,” she said.

He explained the penalties associated with misconduct, urging the health workers to take their new responsibilities seriously.

One of the facilitators, Mrs Oluwabunmi Ayedun of March Health Care Initiative, Abuja, commended the state government for prioritising the primary healthcare system.
