Party stalwart and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Janet Adeyemi has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his victory in the just concluded gubernatorial elections in the state.
Adeyemi, who described Aiyedatiwa’s electoral victory as ‘an act of God,’ called on other gubernatorial aspirants who contested with Aiyedatiwa to consider his victory as a win-win situation, stating that the various aspirants owe it a duty to Ondo people to support Governor Aiyedatiwa in his efforts to deliver good governance to the people of the state.
In a statement personally signed by the consummate mineral sector entrepreneur, Mining Engineer and Founder of Women in Mining Nigeria, she stated: ‘Irrespective of the different political and religious affiliations, I call on all those who contested for governorship in the APC and on the platform of other political parties to sheathe their swords and work with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to deliver the dividends of good governance to the people of Ondo State,’
Adeyemi, a former Member of the Federal House of Representatives, further described Aiyedatiwa’s emergence as ‘well deserved,’ said the giant strides in his administration convinced electorates that he is the ‘best man for the job,’ adding that his political antecedents reveal that he will continue to prioritize social welfare of the citizens and the infrastructural development of Ondo state.
While saying that the re election of Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is a good omen for the people of Ondo State, she noted that the efforts of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration across the various sectors of the economy, within a short time is exemplary and highly commendable.
Adeyemi, a longstanding Fellow of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (FNMGS) further admonished the citizens of Ondo state to support the Aiyedatiwa administration, stating that the success of an administration also requires the goodwill of the masses.
“Of course it is true that Governor Aiyedatiwa needs the support of stakeholders, party leaders and political class, we all know that he also needs the support of the every single individual in Ondo State, everyone is important, every single vote made a difference,” she stated.
She asked the people of the state to wok hard with the new government while also intensifying prayers for the success of the administration.
