  • Says Maitama project will accommodate 300 new smart homes

Nigeria’s invention-inclined luxury estates development company, Cosgrove, has signed a mega land deal that will accommodate three hundred state-of-the-art smart homes in the multi-billion naira technology-driven housing estate which construction is scheduled for January this year.

Strategically located along the expressway opposite the Ministers Hill in Maitama, Abuja, the newly acquired twelve hectares of land is the fourth land deal to be signed by Cosgrove within a year of operating in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer of Cosgrove, Mr Umar Abdullahi who confirmed to THE TRUTH that the company started operations in January 2018, expressed delight that “Cosgrove enjoys remarkable goodwill, trust and confidence from the public,” adding that it is a result of the reputation of the company, derived from the outstanding quality of its ongoing projects and the professionalism and experience of its production team as well as the relative affordability of the homes.

Discussing what he described as a powerful strategy for sustaining customer relations, the CEO said Cosgrove’s reputation for best standards at various levels of the construction process and the ability to stay abreast of inventions in the industry, while improving on discoveries, is the secret of its successes.

“Before now, Cosgrove had three projects in progress. Now, and we are happy to sign the Maitama deal which will bring to four, the number of estate development projects in our pursuit,” he said.

“The signing of the Maitama deal was borne out of the pressure we continued to encounter from off-takers because we sold out our first Smart Estate in Wuye in record time of three months,” adding that the fully subscribed Wuye Smart Estate consists of over one hundred and sixty super-smart homes.

“So after we sold out the Wuye project, there was so much pressure for more homes. In response, we signed a deal and began the construction of the second Cosgrove Estate in Mabushi, near Blue Cabana. However, we had more demands than we expected, so we signed on a third project at Guzape.

“We did not stop there, we are inspired to sign this fourth project because we are overwhelmed by requests for more homes, and I think it has to do with our credibility in the sector,” he said.

Umar Abdullahi who is remarkable for youth and his penchant for quality and innovation in housing technology has delivered more than ten landmark estates in his decade-long real estate development career during which he earned renown for mega deals he struck as pioneer Managing Director of Brains and Hammers Real Estate Company, a brand that has become a top range in the country.

While he explained that all Cosgrove estates consist of smart homes with latest innovations in security technology such as AI cameras with ability to recognize faces, he said the Cosgrove Estate which construction will commence in January will accommodate various house types saying: “The Maitama project will accommodate seven-bedroom gated villas, five bedroom fully detached, five bedroom semi-detached, four bedroom terraces and three bedroom luxury apartments, four bedroom luxury penthouses with maid’s room and elevators,” adding that each of the houses would be fully automated and will feature state of the art facilities.

“Cosgrove teams consist of experienced hands who are known for signature achievements in the industry.

“For example, I have been in the real estate industry for over a decade and have delivered more than ten estates.

“So we have a team of experts who have proved their worth in the industry, and this is what I would say we are enjoying,” he added.
