The Police Command in Lagos State has detained a 26-year-old man over alleged involvement in cultism and cult-related killings.
The command’s Spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said in statement on Sunday in Lagos that the suspect was apprehended at about 7.05a.m on Saturday, at Fagba Junction, in the Iju area of the state.
Hundeyin said that a team of policemen attached to the Iju Division, apprehended the suspect while on stop and search operation.
He said that suspect who had been on police wanted list over cult-related killings was nabbed with some illicit drugs.
The police spokesman further said that manhunt was underway to apprehend other members of his gang.
He said that the suspect would be prosecuted in court after thorough investigation.
