
Professor of Microbiology, Nasiru Usman Adabara is set to deliver the 126th Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
This was made known via a public notice signed by the university’s Registrar, Danladi Mallam, and the Chairperson of the University Seminar and Colloquium Committee, Dr Mrs Victoria I. Chukwuemeka,
The event underscores both personal achievement and the university’s enduring tradition of scholarly excellence.
Professor Adabara, a respected voice in microbiological research, will present a thought-provoking lecture with the title, “The Human Pathogen Push Me I Push You Conundrum: When Will This Mutually Antagonistic Struggle End?”
In this compelling discourse, he is expected to explore the intricate and often adversarial relationship between humans and disease-causing microorganisms, offering insights into one of the most persistent challenges in global health.
The lecture, scheduled for May 7, 2026, at 10:00am, will take place at the 1000-seater auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, and is expected to draw a wide audience of academics, students, researchers, admirers and other stakeholders who are eager to engage with his expertise and perspectives.
With academic roots spanning the University of Jos, where he obtained his BSc and MSc, and a PhD from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Professor Adabara’s career reflects years of rigorous scholarship, impactful research, and dedicated mentorship.
