The 5-Year Strategy Plan has been meticulously developed through a comprehensive and inclusive process. It aims to empower women and girls, promote gender equality, and create sustainable, community-driven solutions to combat gender-based violence and discrimination. This strategic plan embodies the Movement’s commitment to building a just and equitable society where every individual, regardless of gender, can thrive.

A statement by the Project Manager/Women’s Rights Coordinator at Centre LSD, Offiong Enang, highlighted the importance of this validation, stating that, “The strategy plan represents a collective vision for gender justice. A roadmap that will guide the efforts of the Side-by-Side Movement to address the systemic inequalities faced by women and girls in Nigeria.

The Side-by-Side Movement for Gender Justice has collaborated extensively with interfaith and traditional leaders, as well as community organizations across geopolitical zones in developing the plan. The Movement’s approach is rooted in the belief that faith-based organizations and traditional leaders can play a crucial role in promoting gender equality and social justice.
