Nigerian street-hop sensation, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has announced the plans to return to school despite already possessing an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic.
The singer explained that his decision stems from a desire to better understand music royalties and business structures, especially as he continues to grow his record label.
Portable said education would help him manage his finances and career more intelligently.
He shared a video online expressing his commitment to personal growth, stating that being educated will help him make wiser decisions in the competitive music industry and a changing world.
“I want to go back to school, I have influence but many people insult me that I did not go to school.
“I want to go and finish my education, I’ve made up my mind that I need to go back to school to enable me learn how to manage my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my label.
“Education Isn’t a scam. Even though I have an OND, I must go back to school to learn about this music business very well”, he said.
