Steel development minister Abubakar Audu felicities with Ododo on swearing-in

The Minister of Steel Development Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his swearing-in as the Fifth Executive Governor of Kogi State.

Mr. Joel Salifu Oyibo was also sworn-in as the Deputy Governor of the Confluence State.

A statement signed be personally signed, Prince Abubakar Audu, urged the State Governor to build on the legacies set by immediate past Governor, Yahaya Bello.

“Your victory at the polls on November 11, 2023, was very consequential in the history of our dear state, Kogi. Your popularity and acceptance across our state were the key factors in your victory at the governorship polls last year.

“As Director-General of the Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council, I was confident that you would emerge victorious despite all forms of political intrigues. Today, we celebrate that victory, which begins an era of continuation and consolidation of the successful eight-year tenure of his Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.

“As you take the mantle of leadership in our dear state Kogi, I am convinced that you will build on the various achievements of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to position Kogi State on a national pedestal and attract more dividends of democracy for the people of our state.

“His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON has successfully laid the foundation of security, infrastructural development, peace, unity, and progress for you, which I am confident you will build on to take Kogi State to the promised land. In addition, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will continue to be remembered as a unifier and a bridge builder who brought Kogi State together irrespective of creed, ethnic, or religious divides.

“I have no doubt that His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will rise to the occasion and deliver the dividends of democracy for Kogites. Once again, hearty congratulations Your Excellency on your election as the Fifth Executive Governor of Kogi State and we wish you a very prosperous and successful administration.
