2,450 Kano pilgrims transported to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage

No fewer than 2, 450 intending pilgrims from Kano State have been transported to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 pilgrimage.

The Public Relations Officer of the  State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sulaiman Dedari, disclosed  this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a  telephone interview on Thursday.

He said that  the pilgrims were transported in five flights to Saudi Arabia from the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.

He explained that approximately 1,101 pilgrims were in Makkah after spending four days in Madinah, while 1, 349 pilgrims were currently in Madinah.
He stated that the pilgrims were in good health, with medical clinics equipped with basic health facilities available at all pilgrim locations.
”Our well trained medical personnel are managing all the clinics, providing essential healthcare services to cater to the pilgrims’ needs.
”Our officials and clerics are seen guiding the pilgrims at the Holy Kaaba in the build to the Hajj exercise,” he said.
Daderi stated that 1,349 pilgrims were currently in Madinah, observing their daily prayers at the Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque and visiting other historical sites.
He further said that the pilgrims would depart for Makkah after spending four days in Madinah.

Daderi confirmed that all the pilgrims were in good health and have begun visiting the Holy Mosque where the Prophet Muhammad was buried.

“Our medical team, equipped with basic health facilities, is closely monitoring the pilgrims’ health, while officials and clerics provide guidance and support throughout their journey,” he stated

Truthng also reports that six flight of about 549 pilgrims from Bichi, Tsanyawa, Makoda, Gwarzo, and Dawakin Tofa LGAs has been scheduled to transport the pilgrims to Madinah on Friday.
