The Chairman, Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria Bldr. Samson A. Opaluwah, fniob has inaugurated the CORBON Publications Review Committee on Monday, June, 2024. The Committee was given the mandate to undertake a review of all the publications by CORBON since its establishment. The Committee is also to establish standards for assessment of future publications, provide advice to Council on publications in specific practice areas, as well as propose modalities for internationalization and commercialization of the publications.
While delivering his inauguration speech, the Council Chairman appreciated the Committee members’ acceptance to carry out such an important task and further highlighted the importance of taking responsibility for coordinating and/or providing editorial support to publication projects that are being developed by CORBON.
In their acceptance remarks, the Committee’s Co-Chairmen, Bldr. Aliyu Ova, fniob and Bldr. (Prof.) Martin Dada, fniob, appreciated the Council for finding them and other committee members worthy to carry out such critical responsibilities and they assured the Council of their readiness to deliver on the given mandate.
The other committee members are Bldr. (Dr.) Noah Makoji Abuh, Bldr. Sir Wisdom Okoro, Bldr. (Dr.) Napoleon Daniel Usman, Bldr. Adekunle Oluwatosin Dada, Bldr. Ayokunle Ajani Akinboyede, Bldr. (Mrs.) Halimat Omuya Chatta, Bldr. (Dr.) Joshua Olutayo Olorunkiya, Bldr. (Dr.) Christopher Chidi Victor Belonwu, Bldr. (Dr.) Julie Adeosun and Bldr. (Dr.) Uchenna Charity Ekekezie.
Present at the virtual inauguration ceremony were CORBON Vice-Chairman, Bldr. Dr. C. C. Ezeh, fniob, Bldr. Prof. Shehu Ahmad Bustani, Bldr. Saddiq Idris Abubakar, as well as the Registrar & Secretary to Council, Bldr. Adetunji Adeniran fniob, and mni. Bldr. Edididong Ekanem, who would provide secretarial support for the Committee.
