Gov. Wike, others praise ESLF’S integrated health facility

Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has applauded the initiative of Benue State’s First Lady and Founder, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF), Dr. Eunice Ortom to have put together an Integrated Health Facility (IHF) designed to cater for sundry health needs of various categories of persons in furtherance of her Foundation’s service to humanity.

Governor Wike who gave this commendation today during an inspection of the IHF and commissioning ceremony of 5 roads and 2 electricity projects in Makurdi, affirmed that the mental health component of the ESLF facility would help rescue victims of drug and substance abuse and snatch them from the jaws of the debilitating practice now rife in the country especially among youths.

The Governor who, spoke on behalf of Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State who were also present promised support for the ongoing work at the facility to hasten its completion and commencement of service to the people.

Unravelling the IHF, the visioner and Founder of ESLF and the health facility, Dr. Eunice Ortom who appreciated the governors’ pledge explained that, the facility design has a Maternal and Child Care Unit, a Mental Rehabilitation Centre, a Cancer Care Unit and Skills Acquisition Centre all geared towards making comprehensive health of mind and body available, accessible and affordable for various categories of patients from within and beyond the shores of the State.

The Host Governor Samuel Ortom praised his wife’s humanitarian service through ESLF which complements the State Government’s programmes all geared towards improving lives and livelihoods.
The Integrated Health Facility (IHF), perhaps one of the Foundation’s strongest statements of commitment that it is here to serve humanity in the long haul, fits into ESLF’s vision of “a society without barriers to decent living” for all.
