
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen staff capacity and enhance service delivery, the Jigawa State Office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday, 5th August, 2026, organised an in-house refresher training for all members of staff at the facility.
The training, initiated by the State Coordinator, Mr. Adekunle Makinde, focused on improving staff proficiency in the delivery of the Board’s e-Facility Services and deepening their understanding of the newly-introduced NCE and ND (Agric-Related Non-Technology) Registration processes. In his and Admission opening remarks, Mr. Makinde emphasised the importance of continuous learning and professional development, noting that the evolving nature of the Board’s operations requires staff to remain updated about new policies, procedures, and technological innovations.
He stressed that a well-informed workforce is essential for providing efficient, accurate, and customerfocused services to candidates and stakeholders. The session featured comprehensive practical discussions on the various e-Facility services, including profile management, correction of candidate data, admission processing, result-related services, and other online support functions. Participants also received detailed guidance on the operational framework, eligibility requirements, procedures, and registration admission workflow for the newly-introduced NCE and ND (Agric-Related NonTechnology) programmes. The training provided an opportunity for staff to review existing operational procedures, issues, clarify share experiences encountered while rendering services, and discuss practical solutions to common challenges. The subsequent interactive session further enhanced the participants’ understanding of the new registration process, which was designed to reinforce best practices in service delivery.
In his closing remarks, the State Coordinator commended the staff for their active participation and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained in carrying out their daily responsibilities. He reaffirmed commitment the to Board’s continuous capacity building as a strategy for improving operational efficiency, promoting professionalism, and ensuring that candidates and other stakeholders receive prompt and quality service.
The refresher training forms part of the Board’s sustained commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring the successful implementation of the Board’s policies and initiatives.
