Kogi Central Education Task Force Extols Gov. Bello’s Impressive Feats in Education.

The Education Task Force of Kogi Central Senatorial District have commended the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for completely overhauling the educational system and impacting positively on the performance of students in the state.

The team lead and Secretary General of the group, Comrade Adabara Abduljelil led other members of the group to the Ministry of Education headquarters, Lokoja on Tuesday in appreciation of the state government for its landmark achievements in the education sector.

The group also lauded the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, for refurbishing their old damaged official vehicle.

A letter of appreciation signed by the coordinator of the group, Mallam Mohammed Yusuf and delivered to the Commissioner partly reads:

“The Kogi Central Education Task Force commend your effort at putting the group bus in order. We say thank you for your support and contributions to the group.

“Your office has contributed immensely to our group and the education sector generally.

“We appreciate all you are doing to reflect on government’s blueprint of moving Kogi State forward educationally.”

The group bus which is branded ‘ Education Task Force: Ebirra Youth Peace Movement’, has additional inscription of Hon. Commissioner of Education as the facilitator of the refurbishment.

The group charged other senatorial districts in the state to form formidable groups that would move education to a higher pedestal.

Reacting to the lovely development, the Commissioner for Education said the state government had been doing all it could and would continue doing more in developing education.

Hon. Jones who said additional teachers would be employed in the state, stressed government’s reassurance of qualitative education to students.

He also announced that the First School Leaving Certificate issued by the Ministry would be customized beginning from 2022.

“Names and results of candidates will be inscribed in such a way that they cannot be altered. The results will also be issued promptly”, he declared.

The Commissioner assured the group that the state government will fix up schools in state of disrepair before the end of the current tenure.

He commended the Central Educational Task Force for leading in their guise, saying their efforts were already yielding results of better academic performance in their district.
